The Hochiki FireNET BMS Gateway is a protocol translator that enables data transfer between the FireNET panel and various Ethernet protocols. Event information is sent from the FireNET PC port to the Gateway where it is stored in data arrays. These data arrays can be monitored by a third-party building automation system (BMS). The Gateway includes serial and Ethernet connectors to interface to the FireNET and other external equipment. Event information from multiple FireNET panels is passed over the FireNET network to the panel that hosts the BMS Gateway interface.
